Four-star General Philip Breedlove is NATO's former Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) and Commander of the U.S. European Command (USEUCOM).
Previously General Breedlove was Commander of U.S. Air Forces Europe & U.S. Air Forces Africa.
He also was the 36th Vice Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force.
Klaus Larres is presently a Global Europe & Kissinger China Institute Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington DC & the Richard M Krasno Distinguished Professor of History & Internat. Affairs, UNC-Chapel Hill. He is the author of Uncertain Allies: Nixon, Kissinger, and the Threat of a United Europe (Yale UP, 2022).
